This has stopped me buying anything on impulse and wanting to go shopping so often. I have to really love it more than something I already have! This has really worked for me.<br />Sarah xDown by the seahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06148800326418238027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5701097386033513768.post-38806989258682652582013-06-25T11:50:14.008+01:002013-06-25T11:50:14.008+01:00I got to the point in decluttering where I realise...I got to the point in decluttering where I realised that trends keep coming round - why buy more deco/clothes/shoes when they're the same as some I either still have or got rid of?! Now although I occasionally browse a little bit, it takes an invite from a friend to get me to the very attractive local towns for shopping. These days I rarely buy anything and we end up spending more time chatting in a nice café - I think my friends are noticing ;o Having said that, I do occasionally go out and buy something or come home with something I hadn't planned on buying... more often than not, I find a feeling of dissatisfaction with that object arise, and it often leaves almost faster than it arrived. As ever, it's ongoing...! On the whole, I just don't go to the shops any more and find more interesting and fulfilling things to do. But it does seem that we are still relatively "exotic" in this!Little Miss Know-it-allhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05907830951304386874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5701097386033513768.post-81356976307562582772013-06-25T08:11:30.826+01:002013-06-25T08:11:30.826+01:00I'm much more selective now, having a limited ...I'm much more selective now, having a limited income means we have to. There are still 'pleasure' purchases, they support our hobbies, musical and creative, and that in turn adds to our love of life! But those purchases are only after our basic needs have been paid for, we always save and don't get in any dept! Shopping for the sake of shopping is long gone! :) xVintage Sheet Addicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16027266547200808397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5701097386033513768.post-9206991898132954362013-06-25T00:35:05.212+01:002013-06-25T00:35:05.212+01:00So true, we try and live like that anyway. So true, we try and live like that anyway.greenthumbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12067004547876814633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5701097386033513768.post-78362646341351454322013-06-24T22:18:10.545+01:002013-06-24T22:18:10.545+01:00I'm happy to say I live like this anyway. Some of the points are out of necessity (like we can't afford to eat out often and I can't afford a big lens for the camera) but mostly, I don't feel the need to buy things and I hate shopping with a passion so I avoid it unless I really need something! I'm very good and visiting and appreciating my local area too :) Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16043065727770116407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5701097386033513768.post-2709343549867774032013-06-24T22:16:12.162+01:002013-06-24T22:16:12.162+01:00Blogging and reading blogs helps me to keep away f...Blogging and reading blogs helps me to keep away from the shops (although very occasionally if I see something I really like on a blog it can actually send me towards them), as well as exercising, sewing and gardening both at home and at the allotment. The puppy helps too as she's not allowed in most shops, although I do believe Liberty have a dog friendly policy. I've not tested it yet though.johnnyjumpsuphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08474137444822527332noreply@blogger.com
