I can't help but look at their possessions/collections & wonder what on earth they think when they visit me. To be happy and appreciate the people around him and what they bring is a good example. When you are not interested in fashion, shopping or TV it can be really hard to strike up a conversation with people! I suppose those are the go to conversation starters for many people and they must feel as awkward as I do when we can't find any common ground! Then there's only the kids to talk about and my kids are way weirder than I am, so I try not to go there ;)Traceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00451416943813912617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5701097386033513768.post-83039246836322837672015-07-02T13:12:41.978+01:002015-07-02T13:12:41.978+01:00Many people do this naturally. Most people don't spend money on stuff they neither want or need either. Preaching to tell people who don't act out this way is rather pushy behaviour. The Dalai Lama spends rather too much time spent with celebrities so I don't necessarily see him as a good example.<br />BennyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5701097386033513768.post-44141145374778685032015-07-02T12:07:55.290+01:002015-07-02T12:07:55.290+01:00What's interesting, as I make more steps to de...What's interesting, as I make more steps to declutter my life and am upfront, I often hear others really want to simplify and minimalize too. I've gotten the blank stare too, but in reality, those come from people I don't necessarily want to fit in with and spend my time with anyway.SAMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16485146123969622896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5701097386033513768.post-88929306007410491522015-07-02T11:33:57.557+01:002015-07-02T11:33:57.557+01:00Great post!
