At the Weekend

cleaned the house

washed our youngest's blazer and cleaned his shoes (a rare event)
had a lazy pizza tea
and delicious bacon sarnies
bought my Dad some tiny 25cl bottles of beer
snuggled on the sofa and read new books
awoke on Sunday to blue skies and calmer weather
savoured shepherd's pie for Sunday lunch
enjoyed late afternoon sunshine on a walk through the woods
wished ramblers, dog walkers and horse riders a good afternoon
almost bought some Christmas cards
warmed ourselves on hot chocolate with cream
drank a little red wine

So glad we finally got to see the sun again today. How was your first weekend of November?

  1. We tend to avoid the blazer. No-one is brave enough to empty the pockets!

  2. Sounds like a good weekend :) We had a walk in the woods too this afternoon and I finally made a (tiny!) start on christmas shopping!

  3. Sunday was lovely, we managed to get out in the garden and do some clearing up ready for the winter. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend.

  4. Have the sniffles so had a rather unproductive weekend but not to worry, it comes after a good week of tasks accomplished while on holidays.
Looks like you got to make the best of the winter sunshine.

  5. What a wonderful weekend. Beautiful photos too. It's been quiet here. A little football, a short but wild and windy walk, a bowling triumph for the eldest at a party and some nice time with the youngest two. Sad to send them back to school tomorrow.

  6. Sounds like a great weekend, we did some crafting and attempting to make our Christmas cards as well as general domestic stuff and getting ready or the new term and work tomorrow. I did of course get some crocheting and thinking about what Christmas presses I want to make this year. Have a great week ahead xox Penny

  7. Claire, I loved this peek into your neck of the woods--so, so pretty! Thank you for sharing it. I just wrote about my weekend--the leaves in our area are spectacular this season. I don't know if it's because I have a blog now or what, but every time I go outside, I am so inspired to take photos. I never leave the house without my iPhone now, which I call my "iCamera"!

Thanks for reading and leaving your comments. Keep in touch xo
