Following Lou's challenge to forage among the hedgerows I found billowing waist high cow parsley, bright buttercups, bluebells and more. But I also found a stray lilac tree and picked a sweet smelling branch. Slightly off task, I know, but I couldn't resist. I've put just one head in a narrow vase on my desk. I love this shade of light purple and its fresh green leaves against the aqua of the vase. And the smell is divine...
It's beautiful. I love the shade of this one too.
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than the scent of lilac - reminds me of the garden in my childhood home. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I can smell it through the screen....
ReplyDeleteOh I am loving the lilacs at the moment. They are wonderful, and I really like the trees even after they have flowered as well.
ReplyDeleteHappily for me there are lots of lilac trees around here, they really remind me of when I was little. Happy memories.
ReplyDeleteLilacs look so good and smell so lovely, completely understand your choice! katie x
