Autumn's Realm























Early this morning I had my first autumn moment. Hooked on summer I'd forgotten how beautiful autumn can be. Here are my words.


Through morning mist
a spider's web
traps
last night's raindrops. 

A leaf falls
and lost in the moment
I step onto a jewelled carpet
into autumn's realm.

Time layers nature's beauty.
So darkness creeps
as summer falters
and autumn takes the crown.
