My country living crush continues today as I reveal this amazing floral display which we found, next to our cream tea, when we arrived at our cottage in Cornwall. I love hellebores because of their fragile beauty and their cheerful cow-bell-like roundness. To see them in the garden is a joy (they are often called Lenten roses as they flower in early spring) but to have such a stunning display on our kitchen table was a real treat. The ravishing hues and the delicacy of the flower heads completely enthralled me.
I love the way Elizabeth has carefully positioned different shades of flowers. It looks arranged but so natural - she makes it look effortless, doesn't she? So beautiful and yet so simple.
And I love the fishy shaped vessel too - so apt for a seaside location.
These gorgeous flowers were picked from the flowerbeds at Boscrowan where we stayed in Cornwall. Don't you just love the billowing clumps of hellebores set against the stone farmhouse? Magnificent!
Linking in again with Littlegreenshed's Nature in the Home series. Thanks Lou for bringing us our weekly fix of prettiness.
Hellebores are such magical flowers, I love the way that they have been displayed here.
