Oh, I can't wait to spend some time with my family and relax in this most scenic region of France. I shall be taking a blogging break for almost two weeks which will seem strange and unnatural but I know a break from technology/social media will do me good (so they tell me).
It'll be wonderful to come back refreshed and inspired. If you're a new reader please hop around my site and get acquainted with my take on minimalism and simple living in the UK. I shall be back soon and look forward to catching up with you all.
I do hope this heat wave continues...

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful, relaxing break x
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful holiday and wedding anniversary! Most of the things on your list would be on mine too - not sure about the wild water swimming though, lol!
ReplyDeleteI am lucky enough to be currently living in the Charente region of SW France and doubly lucky to have a safe stretch of river at the end of the garden, much used by kayakers and swimmers.I 'm planning on my first swim of the summer later today ! We are fortunate also in having many man -made 'river beaches ' in the area with lots of safe swimming and paddling for children ,I think these crop up in many of the non coastal regions.
ReplyDeleteI'm new -ish to your blog, but lately have caught up with all your archive posts,a very enjoyable read they made too.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday over here and enjoy your swimming and all the other lovely things on your list - and yes, those canal-side runs will have to be pretty early as its energy-sapping scorching at the moment.
I've been going at 8am and its do-ableif you keep to shaded paths.
Best wishes, Carole x
Hope you all have a really wonderful holiday ... Bee xx
