Wall Art Decisions

Yay! My new desk arrived last week (in fact I ordered it on Christmas Day as it had been out of stock for weeks - how crazy is that?) I have a chair, a lamp and plenty of work to be getting on with. However, I have just one lonely picture hanging above it at the moment.

I'd like to develop the wall into a mini-gallery. Nothing too perfect or permanent and not too busy either. A simple motivational word or two but I don't want to go word-mad. And maybe a little diy art project. I have no money left for buying new art and anyway it's more fun to be original.

So that's my design brief and here's some current inspiration. More on this project soon.

  1. nice to have your own little corner. Love the coral and green, also the lamps. Maybe you could frame some magazine pictures? Heather x

  2. Nice pictures above, and how lovely to have your own desk and corner to work in. Postcards that fancy, overpriced wrapping paper behind nice frame would be a cheap way to add colour and pattern. And you can get picture frames from charity shops and then spray them with paint to give them a new lease of life.

    Enjoy the project!

  3. Congratulations on the new desk! I really like the tape wall, might have to use this idea x

  4. Can't wait to see what you do with your workspace and love the photo ideas you showed, especially the first one.

  5. Looks nice! I should do something like that, by my desk at work. I would really like to do something with my one-word theme. :-)

  6. Exciting! My desk/work area is a continuous project for me, I never seem to get it quite right. So good luck, your inspirations look fab. X

  7. I've just won a desk on eBay and I am very excited! I cant wait to see what you come up with. Have you got a colour scheme?

  8. Hey! I would like to highlight that you truly have organized a beautiful blog. And there is also one thing I would like to ask you. Do you have plans to write as a professional or owning a blog is just a kind of hobby of yours?

    1. Hi, thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoy it. Blogging is a hobby but it has made me realise how much I enjoy writing and how I'm maybe not using my degree in English as much as I could.
